Sorry guys for taking this long to make an update. It took almost six months and during the time I’ve received many comments and suggestions how to make the mapping better. Finally I had enough time to implement all of the ideas into the mapping and because of so many changes to the layout I think it’s time to release version 2.0. You can still find the latest version 1 from here.

Last night I was playing records at my friends bar (Porvoonkadun Baari) and was able to record my set so here’s a 2,5 hours clip from 5 hours set. This clip is mixture of downtempo, trip hop, r’n'b and hip hop.

New mix: Eyes Wide Shut

I have way too rarely time to do mixes or even play just for the fun of it at home. Of course live mixes are always best option but lately I’ve been doing gigs only as my soulful hip hop alter ego, Forrest Hump, so I haven’t had a chance to play electronic music on my gigs since last September.

“Luckily” I’ve been on a sick leave for few days because of flu and had a chance to do a fresh mix. Well maybe not so fresh because I ended up playing more older stuff then brand new tunes, but that’s the way I like it: sophisticated mixture of old and new so It’s still quite good showcase of my current sound. Something like this will be heard when I’ll be Diggin’ Deep at Beatroot on March but slightly more on deeper tip. Hope ya like it!

Akai MPD32 mapping for Traktor Pro

I’ve spent a lot of time on planning and configuring well working midi controller mapping that will allow creative workflow when deep in the mix. It’s not perfect yet but it’s a good start and will be a great base to start from if you are new to midi mapping of if you’re having hard time making a mapping of your own.

To make it even better I decided to share it with fellow DJ’s who are also using MPD32 to control Traktor and hopefully you’ll share some ideas that could be implemented into this mapping.
